It was counted, that there were more than 500 taxis in Kaunas in 1976. Therefore, it was decided to build a central headquarters for taxis - Taxi Park. Thus, a seven-story, reinforced concrete frame volume sprouted on the right bank of the Neris River.
Completed in 1978, the taxi park consisted not only of a car garage, but also a car wash, workshops, an administrative building, and a fuel station. Taxis were parked not only on the inside but also on the flat roof terrace. Undoubtedly, the most impressive part of this building is the overpass that winds up to the top floor, allowing cars to reach the desired floor of the building. Currently, the building is abandoned and only partially used.
