It is obvious that Gowan was willing to develop workers and middle-class homes and was fond of Victorian standards and construction details. The house is planned horizontally, with the service and garage entrance from street located in the basement, the living rooms on the ground floor, the master bedroom on the first floor, and bedrooms and study in the second.
