


UNIT architekti is Prague-based office for architecture, urban design and research. It was founded by Michal Kohout, Marco Maio, David Tichy and Filip Tittl as a transformation of Jiran Kohout architekti architectural office.
The portfolio of commissions varies from concept development to complex building assignments, ranging from master planning to interior design. Main scope of work is represented by collective housing, low-rise housing, mixed-use buildings and urban design. The approach of UNIT architekti is based on a long term research of built environment, site-specific analyses and complex architectural solutions. In each project the office is targeting residential qualities of the environment by using contemporary typologies, adequate urban layout and precise architectural detail. Recently finished project Housing complex Vackov in Prague had been nominated for prestigious international prize - Mies van der Rohe Award.
